Who We've Helped
With knowledge, commitment and resources the Indigenous health emergency can be turned around.

The Fred Hollows Foundation works for a world where no-one is needlessly blind and where Indigenous Australians enjoy the same health and life expectancy as other Australians.

Since October 2002 The Honda Foundation, in partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation, has supported the Sunrise Health Service to initiate a regional program to address critical but unrecognised aural health problems of Aboriginal children in the 0-8 year old age group in the Katherine East region, of the Northern Territory

The pioneering work of Professor Fred Hollows with the national Trachoma and Eye health Program in the early seventies underscores the concern of The Foundation for the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians.
